Vide Public Notice No.13 dated 13th June, 2003, additions/corrections/ amendments in the book titled Schedule of DEPB
Rates have been made in respect of certain items of product groups Engineering, Chemicals, Plastics and Electronics.
Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) holders may now file yearly details of imports/exports made by them in the preceding
licensing year by 31st October, 2003 as per Public Notice No. 14 dated 25th June, 2003 whereby Para 2.9.5 has been amended
to read as 31st October instead of 30th June. This Public Notice also provides information on completing
columns of IEC for online submission of the returns.
Policy Circular No. 6 dated 6th June, 2003 clarifies the admissibility of DEPB against the export of some export
product under the product group `Engineering.
Export Obligation fulfillment criteria in the case of Bonding of an EPCG licence holder under the EOUs Scheme has been
described in the Policy Circular No. 7 dated 16th June, 2003.
Fresh data have been invited in the prescribed format vide Policy Circular NO.8 dated 20th June, 2003 in cases of all
products where the DEPB rates are 15% or more.
Registration procedure has been exempted in respect of Imports of approved and unapproved drugs under the Advance
Licensing Scheme vide Policy Circular No.9 dated 30th June, 2003. Similarly 100% EOUs/ EPZs and SEZs would also be
exempted from the condition of registration. However, if they make supplies to the domestic market, registration
formalities will be necessary.
