The DGFT has extended the date for filing trade returns to 31st March 2004. The relevant procedure and guidelines have been put on the DGFT website.

With the launch of the digital signature project (on January 28, 2004), the DGFT is accepting digitally signed applications from the exporters. All exporters are urged to file their returns through this facility and thereby save transaction time and cost, and visits to licensing offices. Besides, the fee for applications submitted through the Digital Signature and Electronic Fund Transfer facility is 50% of the normal fee.

The current facility of electronic filing of applications will be discontinued w.e.f. April 1, 2004.
