- Vide Notification No.76/2003-Customs dated 13th May 2003, concessional rate of duty has been provided on import of
certain dry fruits, etc. from Afghanistan.
- Import of Tea, Tea waste and Green Tea has been exempted from the additional Customs Duty as per Notification No.78 &
79 /2003-Customs dated 14th May, 2003.
- Vide Customs Circular No.40/2003-Customs dated 12th May, 2003, conversion of Free Shipping Bill into Advance
Licence/DEPB/ DFRC/Drawback Shipping bill and conversion of shipping bill from one export promotion scheme to another has
been permitted on merits subject to the specified conditions.
- Customs Circular No.43/2003-Customs dated 22nd May 2003 provides the information regarding Nepalese Gazettes
Notification prohibiting the possession of Indian currency notes of Rs.1000/- denomination in Nepal.
