- Circular No.04/2004 Cus. dated 16th January, 2004 clarifies that Conversion of Free Shipping Bills into Advance
Licence/DEPB/DFRC Shipping Bills will not be allowed in normal cases and such conversion will only be allowed where the
benefit of export promotion scheme claimed by the exporters has been denied by DGFT / MOC or Customs due to any dispute.
- Circular No.06/2004 Cus. dated 27th January, 2004 allows the Trading Units which were in existence prior to 31st
March, 2002 and have valid LOP as on date to continue under EOU scheme till the expiry of their LOP.
- De-bonding of EOUs may be permitted even if some show cause notice or confirmed dues is pending against the unit as per
Circular No.08/2004 Cus. dated 28th January, 2004.
- Circular No.10/2004 Cus. dated 30th January, 2004 clarifies that import under DFCEC scheme for status holders
and service providers of all type of products derived from agricultural/dairy origin including crud edible oil will not be
permitted.
